Members and Sharing
Yes, you can benefit.
Member Discounts: Spending which exceeds $5000 establishes an Action Planning membership with an immediate discount, many additional benefits, revenue generation opportunities, and much more. A wedding budget of $2000 to $5000 creates a Starter Member with many benefits and a discount the next time you plan an event at the Sanctuary. A budget less than $2000 does not receive a membership.
Sharing: As you get to know Chimorel better, you will begin to run into the phrase “We are all connected at a profoundly deep level….” Sometimes we add “… below the quark. What I do that hurts you, hurts me. What you do that supports me, strengthens you.”
So sharing, working together, and cooperating are a big part of what we do at the Sanctuary. Becoming aware of the profound impact of being truly connected happens when we share our thoughts and experiences with others. This is especially true when we break bread together, cook together, and walk around in a beautiful natural setting together.
Sharing rather, than excluding, can produce some significant savings for you, as well. As you begin to plan your event, we will talk about sharing with you, especially if your numbers are less than 30 people and you are trying to stay within a tight budget.

An Insiring, Romantic Place in Nature
Chimorel is the perfect one stop shop for your wedding, reception, and other events. You might book a 3+ night stay for 9-11 people. We offer an inspiring outdoor setting by a 1 ½ pond on 10 ½ acres with woods and clearings. If it rains we’ll put up a tent or two. We probably will put up the tents and let a gentle breeze blow through on a sunny day. There is plenty of space for 25 to 100+ people. You can hold both your wedding and reception with us. You can stay in one of our three bedrooms. You and 7 or so guests can stay in our AirB&B.
Enjoy the large barbeque smoker and … your guests and kids can play on the trampoline, in a bounce house, and with the many games as the meal is prepared. Schedule a late afternoon wedding and enjoy a spectacular bonfire as the evening settles down. Toss in some s’mores, hot dogs, storytelling, dancing around the fire, or perhaps even some fire spinning, fire eating, or stilt walking.
Schedule a morning or early afternoon wedding. Your guests can take nature walks, sit by the pond and relax before and afterward. Some may even want to fish afterward. If you don’t disturb him, you might spot our blue heron. Frequently ducks are swimming and diving down for some food and smaller animals galore.
You can plan an inspirational wedding with music before and after; moving experiences and lively conversations for adults after; lots of fun activities for the kids before, during and after if you don’t want the service to be interrupted. We are open to your suggestions to make your wedding day a memorable event.
50 people can fit comfortably in a romantic alcove by the pond. 100 people can sit around the bonfire pit in an area just east of the bonfire or in another area just east of the parking lot. We have a total of seven venue sites, indoor and outdoor settings, tents and more to accomodate almost any planning for 100 +/- guests. You can combine the various settings to meet your needs.
We can handle your wedding planning at any budget. Starting at $2000 we will host a 25-50 people wedding on our grounds, provide reasonable services, including a tent for the rain, and work with you to prepare the food and have some activities for your guests. If you complete our marriage planning, either Pearl or Warren can be your officiant. At $5000 and above we will provide an expanding array of services for approximately 100 guests, including providing a Wedding Planner, Marriage Planning, and the Pastor.
A Church Wedding or <$2000 Budget
If your budget is less than $2000, you may want to plan a backyard wedding or perhaps a church wedding where the pastor is friendly and a lot of friends will chip in as volunteers.
You can use our $150 Wedding Planning package, have a pot luck meal, give your singer/piano player and pastor each $50, wear suits instead of tuxedos, wear a dress you own, keep the flowers minimal, bake your own cake and set up your decorations to easily stay under $2000. You can even pay us $395 for our Planning Service & Wedding package and stay under $2000.
If you keep your budget around $1500 and your guests under 25, we can provide a 2-4 hour venue at one of our seven venue sites. If you are willing to sharethe reception part of your special day with other couples, we will extend your time for the reception. You will share in setting up the décor, the reception, and some other things. Each of you would have an exclusive time for your wedding. We will talk about this if you are interested.
Choose Another Venue
Choosing an indoor wedding venue misses the spectacular beauty of a wedding in a natural setting. It also misses the umbrellas when nature rains on your special day. We have ways to minimize the rain, but if you want to play it safe we can support you as you choose another venue with our planning services, etc.
We have limited parking for approximately 50 cars. We also like to keep our neighbors happy by not overcrowding our venues. We tend to keep our events to approximately 100 people and parking to 50 or less cars.
We will eventually create one or two indoor facilities for approximately 100 guests. We have established relationships with other wedding venues that can accommodate more than 100 guests and are happy to share these with you.
Catering, Accommodations, and Parking
Pearl can bring her many years running a home-style restaurant, Pearl’s Passions, to your event. You can hire a caterer. We can hire a caterer for you. You can prepare your food using our large barbeque smoker and other equipment. You can use a combination of catering and your own preparation.
If you stay with us, you will want the Honeymoon Suite. There is room for up to 7 others to stay with you. Bedroom 2 can house 2-4 people. Bedroom 3 can hold 1-3 people. We have a large kitchen with all the appliances you will need. Two bathrooms, a porch, a spacious living and dining area, a patio that can accommodate 50 people, beautiful views of the pond, and parking for 10+ cars round out the accommodations.
Parking is a little tight. We can easily handle 50+ cars. There is parking across the street and more nearby that we can shuttle people from. We set a limit for free parking, based on the number of guests you expect. We make arrangements for paid parking above this limit.

Yes, refunds are available while your reservation is tentative.
No refunds after confirmation.
We use a Tenative Confirmed process that allows you to cancel during the Tentative stage and receive a full refund. Once you have confirmed, we do not provide refunds, similar to many other venues. We offer several unique alternatives, however. Confirming means the reservation is fully paid for in advance, the details have been planned and we have both confirmed that you will host your wedding at our facilities.
Your tentative reservation can be canceled or rescheduled by you or by us. When someone else confirms the space you are considering before your confirmation, we can cancel your reservation. With seven venue areas, we can probably work something out when you are ready to confirm, but if not we offer several alternatives. You can reschedule in the event of really severe inclement weather. You can create or donate to a life-altering Special Project. You can create one or more incredible memberships. It may be appropriate to buy cancelation insurance.
Rain and bad weather in an outdoor setting can certainly dampen a wonderful experience. Let’s look at the forecast as we plan your event. When inclement weather threatens your event, we will work together to schedule appropriately, to plan as described below, and to create an incredible experience regardless of the weather.
Frequently, the rain stops and we just extend the time frame for your event and maybe change an activity or two. Using a bounce house on a warm rainy day is a lot of fun, so bring your swimsuits. Throwing snowballs and playing on the ice means bundling up and being careful.
We can get out of the rain at our 30-person Studio and under the 50+ person Sanctuary Patio. We will put up tents as appropriate. We are developing several nearby alternative indoor facilities, as well. And yes, we can reschedule as needed, but rescheduling a special event is not something either of us wants to do, so let’s plan well.
