Chimorel

5 Phase Plan  |

Our current capital campaign is $10,000,000. We are in the process of hiring five Finance Directors and Fundraising Coordinators tasked with raising at least $2,000,000 each. We will also be developing a grass roots effort through our events, Ask Warren meetings and our Change Your Life program. We will bring on board a team of Authorized Fund Raisers and Fund Raising Event Planners.
Sponsors will be a major part of our Capital Campaign. They will consist of Naming Rights Sponsors, Event Sponsors and Major Sponsors. For now we focus on Naming Rights SponsorsClick to learn more about Naming Rights.

We anticipate a campaign led by our Finance Directors, who are Board Members. A Finance Director focuses on raising a minimum of $2,000,000 during a six to twelve month period. They know the people who have the ability to donate $50,000 or more. They develop a fund raising strategy which identifies potential donors and follows a well organized process to introduce potential donors to Chimorel.
Assisting the Finance Directors will be Fund Raising Coordinators, whose role is similar to Finance Directors. Their $2,000,000+ timeline is more likely to be 1+ years. They also know people who can donate substantial sums, but may need some initial guidance as they develop their plans. When they demonstrate the ability to raise funds in eight months or less, they may move to becoming a Finance Director who coordinates the efforts of and provides training for Fund Raising Coordinators, Event Planners and Authorized Fund Raisers.
A grass roots effort by Fund Raising Event Planners will supplement the effort by Directors and Coordinators. Event Planners plan and create fund raising events with nonprofit affiliates and Special Project members. They are a primary agent for developing Event Sponsors and may introduce Naming Rights and Major Sponsors, as well. They know how to support and follow up with the individuals, organizations and sponsors they work with. There grass roots efforts opens the doors to many nonprofits and organizations who can participate in Chimorel’s growth. Not every Event Planner will step into the fund raising role, they may already be planning events in their own venue and agree to work with Chimorel as part of their event planning activities. Event Planners will work directly with nonprofit and civic groups to create $35,000 to $1,000,000+ fund raising events. They will also work with Action Planners who create Special Projects and may coordinate with those who plan Change Your Life meetings and similar activities.
Another grass roots effort by Authorized Fund Raisers will also supplement higher level efforts. An authorized Fund Raiser is the backbone of our grass roots fund raising effort. With a sincere commitment and approximately five minutes training anyone can step into this role. This is an entry level position which is supplemented by a significant amount of online and ebook training, as well as, training from Finance Directors and the Executive Director. Authorized Fund Raisers will target individuals and organizations and are likely to become a prime source for establishing Change Your Life meetings, as they work with nonprofits and other groups.

Approximately $7.5 million of the capital campaign will fund various elements of development of the Chimorel Sanctuary.
To see the 5 Phase Plan click this link.  The five phases are:
1) Renovate, Roads & Parking, Lake, Events
2) 25 Acre Acquisition
3) Remodel Home
4) Build Event Centers, Agriculture & Warehouse/Storage Components
5) Build/Buy Cabin Clusters & Other Housing

A little less than 50% of the first phase has been completed. We have a strong live-in team and a developing team of people who don’t live here. We currently have two solid events 1) a weekly Sound Bath Meditation and 2) a monthly Bonfire Potluck. A number of additional events are in the works. See Register Today for events as they are planned. Much of the financing for Phase 1 is in place and being developed from existing resources.
The finance plan and part of the use plan has been developed for all of the other phases. These plans are reflected in various sections with links in this Capital Campaign section.  We have not yet acquired the 25 acres. If we are not successful in acquiring this property we will acquire other property to accomplish similar goals, but because this property is contiguous to ours it would be very desirable.
Initiating Phase three will begin as a consistent $10,000/mo revenue stream is generated or as the funds are raised from our Capital Campaign. Funds for Phase 4 and 5 will flow from our Capital Campaign, as well as, from USDA and other grants and loans.
